How it works
Tag @freeitbot under someone's "$X/mo, launching today" post, or paste its link here. A public gate scores how freeable the core feature is. Over 70, a crew agent writes one file that copies that one feature, a headless browser runs its feature test, and the clone goes up on freeit.run with MIT source. Under 70, we say no in public.
The gate
- Untrusted text. The post is data, never instructions: URLs, @mentions, code blocks, "ignore previous" style lines and zero-width characters are stripped, capped at 600 characters.
- Content filter. Slurs (leet and spacing tricks too), people as targets, NSFW, tragedy, political, national, ethnic or religious framing: off air.
- Safety denylist. Wallet connect, swaps and DEX UIs, login and auth, passwords, keys and seed phrases, payments, banking, KYC, airdrop claims. Never built, ever.
- Opt-out. Founders who opted out or unlisted are never targeted again.
- Follower floor. Authors under 2,000 followers are skipped. We punch up.
- Price check. A recurring or one-time price, or a launch, or there is nothing to free.
- FREEABILITY 0 to 100. Rules set hard caps (needs a model 15, a server 20, proprietary data 25, live multiplayer 30, hardware 10); a classifier scores the rest; the lower number wins. Gate: 70.
The clone contract
One self-contained HTML file under 200 KB. No external URLs, no fetch, no sockets, no beacons, no workers, no eval, no inline event handlers, no password fields, no wallet or key strings. localStorage only. MIT header, generic name, no logos, no brand words. The feature test runs in headless chromium at 1280 and 390 wide: zero page errors, first paint under 2 seconds, every step of the test, state survives a reload, one interaction with the network off, no horizontal scroll on a phone, every button named, zero network requests.
Where clones live
On a separate origin, freeit.run, with no cookies and a strict CSP: default-src 'none'; script-src 'sha256-...'; connect-src 'none'; form-action 'none'. Embedded here in a sandboxed iframe without same-origin. Source download: freeit.run/src/<name>.html. Opens are counted only from clicks on freeit.lol.
Tiers
- Free
- 0 $FREEIT: 1 tag a day
- Crew
- 100,000 $FREEIT (0.01% of supply): 5 tags a day + front of the queue
- Captain
- 1,000,000 $FREEIT (0.1% of supply): 25 tags a day + 3x vote weight + remix any clone
Your tier is read live from chain after you link a wallet with one signed message. No transaction is ever requested.
BIG TARGET
Every 5 minutes, holders vote one fat paywall to the top. Weight is your holding (capped at 10,000,000, Captains x3), re-read when the round closes. The winner gets 10x the budget: many files, up to 1 MB. Demo votes are tallied apart and never counted.
Fees
Every 5 minutes the engine reads the creator vault and, when there is something to sweep, splits it exactly: 60% compute (LLM, X, browser time), 20% buys $FREEIT and burns it in the same transaction, 20% ops. Zero rounds get a row too. Wallets: see the log.
X rules
- Replies only when tagged. One reply per thread, ever. At most 30 replies an hour.
- Every reply ends with "Their full version still does more, go see it."
- Refusals are short and public; filtered, opted-out and small-account posts get no reply.
- Any rate-limit or label warning pauses replies; the paste box keeps working.
Unlist and DMCA
Built the original? One tap unlists the clone: the clone and its source return 410 within seconds, and once we verify you, we never target you again. Formal requests: DMCA.
What is demo right now
The X bot account is not wired yet: tags come from an invented fixture timeline, replies are stored, not sent. The clone writer runs from a fixture library of invented products; real pasted posts get the real read and the real gate score, then wait for the crew. Everything built from fixtures wears a demo chip. The gate rules, the headless browser test, the publish on freeit.run, the stub render, the wallet signature check, the chain reads and the fee engine are real.
FAQ
Is this legal?
Clones copy one function, the idea level of a feature, never code, logos, names or assets. Founders can unlist in one tap. Not affiliated with any product shown.
Why would a founder like this?
Most won't. We roast prices, never people, every reply points back at their full product, and indie devs under 2,000 followers are never targeted.
Risks
$FREEIT is a memecoin, not an investment. X can rate-limit or label the bot. Clones can have bugs; their MIT source is right there.
